Alcohol statistics
Alcohol misuse has been identified as a significant public health and social issue in Northern Ireland over many years. The department's new strategic direction for alcohol and drugs (phase 2:2011-16) documents the problems of alcohol abuse and the need to monitor drinking prevalence.
