Drugs statistics
Drug misuse is a significant public health issue in Northern Ireland. The department's new strategic direction for alcohol and drugs (Phase 2:2011-16) documents the problems of drug misuse and notes the impact that substance misuse has on many vulnerable individuals, including children and young people, families and communities.
