The survey covers a range of health topics that are important to the lives of people in Northern Ireland today. It has been running from April 2010 with separate modules for different policy areas included in different financial years.

Comparability with other UK statistics
The Health Survey for England, Scottish Health Survey and the National Survey for Wales provide comparable estimates on a range of health topics. The surveys are conducted separately and have different sampling methodologies, so estimates across the surveys are considered partially comparable
