Quality and outcomes framework (QOF) statistics
QOF is a system to remunerate general practices for providing good quality care to their patients, and to help fund work to further improve the quality of health care delivered. It is a fundamental part of the general medical services (GMS) contract, introduced on 1 April 2004.
This bulletin presents QOF achievement data and exception reporting statistics at GP Federation, LCG and Northern Ireland levels.
Accompanying data files present both achievement data and exception reporting data at general practice level; as well as GP Federation, LCG and Northern Ireland levels. An interactive tool is also available.
Published alongside the bulletin, data files and interactive tool are quality documents and QOF User Guidance Notes.
Current publication
**As a means of stabilising GMS, in a period of considerable pressure, it was agreed that QOF would be suspended for payment purposes for 2023/24.
The DoH will therefore not produce a QOF publication for 2023/24, latest data will continue to relate to 2022/23.**
