    Antimicrobial Resistance Action Committee (ARAC)

Antimicrobial resistance is a world-wide threat but it needs action at local level as well as globally.

Strategy for Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance builds on previous work and achievements in Northern Ireland; sets the direction of travel, and outlines the key areas for further work to maintain our defences.

Northern Ireland Antimicrobial Guidelines for Primary Care 2013

These are published by the Public Health Agency.

The regional antimicrobial prescribing guidelines have been developed using a range of sources of current evidence based practice, in consultation with experts from the Antimicrobial Resistant Action Committee.
