January 2025 update to fit note guidance
“A joint letter was issued on 23rd July 2025, by the relevant professional officers in the Department of Health. This letter updated the guidance issued in July 2024 regarding the issuing of fit notes (Med3 Forms) by an increased range of healthcare professionals in Northern Ireland. The guidance has been updated to reflect the availability of electronic Med 3 forms on Encompass.
