DoH Public Appointments
Public Appointments
Are you interested in playing your part in the development and delivery of quality health and social care services for the community?
Appointments are made following an open competition and on merit to the Boards of a number of different public bodies.
These are challenging public appointments for people who are strongly committed to developing and maintaining quality health and social care services.
Public appointment vacancies will usually be advertised in local and regional papers, as well as the nidirect website and here on the department's website.
Most appointments are regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Northern Ireland (CPANI).
The Department of Health is keen to see the Boards of its public bodies reflect the diverse society in which they operate. Applications are welcomed regardless of age, gender, disability, religion, ethnic origin, marital status, political opinion, sexual orientation or whether or not you have dependants.
Women are currently under-represented on public bodies sponsored by the Department and applications from women are therefore particularly welcome.
