The Department of Health is recruiting a Non-Executive Chair and three Non-Executive Directors to the Western HSC Trust (WHSCT).

The WHSCT is one of five HSC Trusts established in 2007 responsible for the delivery of responsive and effective health and care services and for the ownership and management of hospitals and other establishments and facilities.  Each HSC Trust in Northern Ireland is managed directly by a Board of Directors which has corporate responsibility for its operation.  The Board is made up of five executive Directors and seven Non-Executive Directors and a Non-Executive Chair.  Executive Directors and Non-Executive Directors are full and equal members of the Board

Essential Criteria for all applicants

The Non-Executive Chair and Non-Executive Directors require no specific qualifications, however all applicants must meet the following three essential criteria:

  1. Corporate Governance; Business Sense; and Stakeholder Engagement.
  2. Applicants for the Non-Executive Chair post must meet the following additional criterion: Leadership.
  3. Applicants can apply for one or more category of membership.

Remuneration  

Non- Executive Chair       £29,716 per annum – Time Commitment 3 days per week

Non-Executive Director    £7,960 per annum – Time Commitment 1 day per week
