    The Department of Health is recruiting a Non-Executive Chair and 7 Non-Executive Members (1 Lay; 3 Stakeholder; and 3 Registrant) to the NI Social Care Council (NISCC) with effect from October/November 2017.

    NISCC is helping to raise standards in the social care workforce by registering social care workers; setting standards for their conduct and practice and supporting their professional development.

    Essential Criteria for all applicants:

    Chair and Lay Member - There are no specific eligibility requirements for these posts.

    Stakeholder Members – applications from people involved in service delivery/commissioning, trade unions, education/training, professional bodies, or allied professions.

    Registrant members - people who are registered on Part 1 or Part 2 of the NISCC register.

    All applicants must show on their application form, and if invited for interview, how they meet the following four essential criteria:

    Strategic Thinking, Corporate Governance & Accountability; Stakeholder Engagement; and Self Awareness and Personal Contribution.

    Applicants for the Non-Executive Chair post must meet the following additional criterion: Leadership.

    Applicants can apply for one or more category of membership.

    Remuneration

    Non- Executive Chair £17, 403 per annum – Time Commitment 2 days per week

    Non-Executive Member £6,367 per annum – Time Commitment 2 days per month
