Making Life Better - Nurses and AHPs a Force for Change

A “Making Life Better” workshop for Nurses and Midwives and Allied Health Professionals was held by Mary Frances McManus, Nursing Officer for Public health at DHSSPS and chaired by Mary Hinds, Director of Nursing at the Public Health Agency. This provided an opportunity for Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals to consider how they might develop their role in support of the implementation of Making Life Better.
The key messages were:
- Every Nurse, Midwife and Allied Health Professional has a critical role to play in promoting health and wellbeing.
- Making Life Better is everyone business.
- Each health professional must make every contact count by taking the opportunity to give messages about improving health and wellbeing.
