Letter from CNO - The framework Deciding to Delegate: Decision Support Framework for Nurses and Midwives

Following agreement of Central Nursing and Midwifery Advisory group Circular, CNO 01/2019 “The framework Deciding to Delegate: Decision Support Framework for Nurses and Midwives” has been finalised for issue following the launch on January 31st 2019.
The purpose of this Circular is to address key issues in the process of delegation within the context of nursing/midwifery care services and the circular sets out that this framework should be used in all environments by nurses and midwives across all settings and across the wide and varied care and service settings in Northern Ireland.
