“Health and social care services in Northern Ireland have returned to normal today, following some disruption due to Storm Ophelia yesterday.
“The Department of Health and the Health and Social Care Board would like to thank health care staff for their dedication and professionalism and for going that extra mile yesterday in not only keeping emergency services going on what was a very busy day, but also maintaining and carrying on with their normal day to day work.
“If you have an enquiry about health service provision in your local area, please contact your individual Trust. Contact details can be found on the nidirect website.
“If a patient did not make it to their appointment, they should contact the Trust to rearrange. Patients will not be penalised for missing appointments yesterday, and all appointments will be rearranged as soon as possible.”
