Health Minister, Simon Hamilton today announced the appointment of a Non-Executive Director to the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT).

Ms Miriam Karp was appointed as Non-Executive Lay Director, with effect from 1 September 2015 for a period of four years.

Each Health and Social Care (HSC) Trust in Northern Ireland is managed directly by a Board of Directors which has corporate responsibility for its operation.

The Board is made up of five executive Directors and seven non-executive directors and a non-executive chair. Executive directors and non-executive directors are full and equal members of the Board.
