Consultation description

This consultation document sets out proposals to align the timing of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation rates used for revaluing pension benefits and the annual allowance tax calculation. Also, to update pension contribution tiers in line with the Agenda for Change (AfC) pay award and introduce technical updates to member contribution provisions. There are also a number of technical amendments proposed to improve the operation of the HSC Pension Scheme Regulations.

This consultation will run from 31 January 2023 until 17 February 2023.

The Department welcomes any comments or views on the proposals set out in the consultation document.
