Unscheduled Care task group
The task group is Co-Chaired by the Department’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr Michael McBride, and Chief Nursing Officer, Charlotte McArdle.
The Task Group is unique in that it draws together the full spectrum of talent and skills from across all professions and disciplines in the HSC into a single project structure, underpinned by a quality improvement methodology, unified in delivering on clear goals set by the Minister.
The work of the Task Group is through two mechanisms, time limited workstreams and Trust implementation plans. The workstreams established are:
- escalation
- patient flow
- respiratory services
- diagnostics
- out of hospital care
- care of frail older people
Workstream are at various stages in their work but all report regularly to the Regional Coordinating Group on progress.
