Supervision in social work provides a formal and on-going process that is vital to quality practice, professional development, practitioner well-being and enhanced relationships with service users and colleagues.
The Social Work (NI) Supervision Policy 2024 applies to all social workers employed in Health & Social Care Trusts and in the Childrens Court Guardian Agency for NI. Other employers of social workers in Northern Ireland may adopt it should they find it helpful.
