This guidance sets out strengthened governance arrangements for themanagement and use of controlled drugs in Northern Ireland.These arrangements are underpinned by the Health Act 2006 and the Controlled Drugs (Supervision of Management and Use) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 as amended by the Controlled Drugs (Supervision of Management and Use) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 (the Regulations).
