In responding to the recommendations in Sir Liam Donaldson's report The Right Time, The Right Place, in January 2015 the then Minister Jim Wells announced a review of the way health and social care services in Northern Ireland are commissioned.
The review was led by the Department, and the findings and conclusions are set out in this report. On 4 November 2015, Minister Hamilton announced changes to the existing commissioning arrangements as part of his vision for the future of health and social care services.
