Reporting Adverse Incidents to the Medical Device and Estates Safety (MDES)
section.
From 1st August 2025, the Northern Ireland Adverse Incident Centre’s (NIAIC) name and function will change. The NIAIC will now be known as Medical Device and Estates Safety (MDES) section and the functional change to MDES will affect how medical device and estates adverse incidents are reported to the Department of Health (Northern Ireland).
