The Muckamore Departmental Assurance Group was established to monitor the effectiveness of the Health and Social Care System’s (HSC) actions in response to the 2018 independent Serious Adverse Incident (SAI) review into safeguarding at MAH following allegations of physical abuse of patients by staff, and the Permanent Secretary’s subsequent commitment on resettlement made in December 2018.
