Mental Health Strategy Action 34: Mental Health Outcomes Framework
Action 34 of the Mental Health Strategy commits to the development of a Regional Mental Health Outcomes Framework, developed in collaboration with service users, carers and professionals, to underpin and drive service development and delivery.
Considerable work has been progressed to develop the Regional Outcomes Framework, informed by engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including Health and Social Care Trusts, statisticians, academia and service users, in line with the Strategy’s principles of co-production and co-design.
The Framework was finalised in October 2022 and implementation is ongoing, aligned to wider Mental Health Strategy delivery and the regional encompass digital health and care record programme.
What the framework covers:
· why measuring clinical outcomes matters in mental health services
· how clinical outcomes are defined and understood within the framework
· implementation arrangements, research and engagement
· supporting resources
