Mental Health Nursing - Partnering for Wellbeing and Enabling Recovery
In October 2024, Professor Maria McIlgorm, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO),
requested that the Northern Ireland Practice and Education Council for
Nursing and Midwifery (NIPEC) conduct a programme of work, to inform the
strategic direction and development of a new professional Mental Health
Nursing Model to deliver better outcomes to meet the current and future
needs for our population in Northern Ireland (NI).
