    Topics:
    • Pharmacy

    Date published: 29 August 2025

Following the introduction of a UK-wide indefinite order preventing new patients aged under 18, under the care of private prescribers, from being initiated on gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (“GnRH”) analogues (‘puberty blockers’) for the purposes of gender incongruence and/or gender dysphoria, there have been a number of questions and points for clarification about the findings and recommendations of the review and the policy intent of the indefinite order.

We have collated those questions, along with our answers, to assist with this clarification.

This information will be kept under review and updated as necessary.
