An arm’s length body (ALB) is obliged to put in place project management arrangements for the implementation of a project.

This Project Execution Plan (PEP) records the structures, roles and responsibilities that have been established for a project and remains live throughout the lifecycle of the project. The PEP will be reviewed and updated as necessary as the project develops.

The PEP also describes the management and project execution processes that are to be used to ensure that the Employer’s objectives for the project are achieved. It:

    • defines the project scope
    • describes the organisational framework and overall management systems for the project
    • identifies roles and responsibilities of the project participants
    • describes the formal change control process by which the project scope, cost, schedule and PEP may be revised
