The key aim of this blueprint is to provide a programme of work designed to:
- Provide a single system of Elective Orthopaedic Care (EOC) delivery for
- Northern Ireland;
- Create equity of access for all patients in Northern Ireland (Abolish ‘Post Code
- Lottery’);
- Develop standardised care pathways;
- Develop use of standardised implants;
- Encourage evidence based practice;
- Apply continuous improvement methods; and
- Explore cross specialty possibilities with Neuro and Plastic Surgeons.
