  • Consultation on Neurology services – public engagement events

    The Department of Health is inviting people to attend a series of public events as part of the consultation on the final report of the Regional Review of Neurology Services.

    When the consultation launched on 7 May, Health Minister Mike Nesbitt said the report’s recommendations provided a roadmap to deliver an ambitious, long-term plan to drive improvements in services. The consultation responses will inform this plan.  

    To support the consultation exercise, a number of public engagement events will be held at several locations across Northern Ireland over the coming months.

    The first of these events will take place next week on 29 May in the Clayton Hotel, Ormeau Avenue, Belfast at 7pm.

    The dates and locations of all upcoming in-person meetings are as follows:

    1. Date/Time: 29 May. 7pm-9pm
        Location: Clayton Hotel, 22-26 Ormeau Avenue, Belfast, BT2 8HS

    2. Date/Time: 5 June. 7pm-9pm
        Location: Silverbirch Hotel, 5 Gortin Road, Omagh, BT79 7DH

    3. Date/Time: 25 June. 7pm-9pm
        Location: Queen's Hall, West Street, Newtownards BT23 4EN

    4. Date/Time: 3 July. 7pm-9pm
        Location: Dunsilly Hotel, 20 Dunsilly Road, Antrim, BT41 2JH

    5. Date/Time: 17 July. 7pm-9pm
        Location: Canal Court Hotel, Merchants Quay, Newry, BT35 6HR

    In addition to the above, there will be two online meetings on 9 July between 2-4pm, and 23 July between 7pm-9pm.

    All of these events will provide the opportunity to present the analysis, findings and proposed recommendations set out in the report; answer questions from the public, and encourage participation in the consultation process.
