Information and Records Management Society of Great Britain

The Records Management Society was launched in 1983, in recognition of the ever-increasing number of people working in the fields of records and information management.

It changed its name to become the Information and Records Management Society.

This change took place in August 2010.

Anyone concerned with records and information, regardless of their professional or organisational status or qualifications, can join the society.

Organisations wishing to develop records or information systems and those that provide services in these fields are also able to join.
