    Consultation description

The revised Service Framework for Mental Health and Wellbeing 2018-21 is one of a range of Service Frameworks developed by the Department to help ensure that care is safe, effective and person-centred.

This Framework builds on the 2010 version but offers a more streamlined approach with fewer standards, and includes both service and experience indicators. The Framework reflects the principles and values of the ‘You In Mind’ Regional Mental Health Care Pathway 2014 and recognises that all treatment and care needs to be highly personalised and recovery orientated.

The purpose of the Framework is not only to provide guidance on the steps of care to be delivered but it is designed also to enhance the quality of service experience and promote consistency of service delivery across Northern Ireland.
