Summary
The Health Minister commissioned this evaluation in response to concerns that the Individual Funding Request process was not meeting its objective of providing access to unapproved specialist drugs where there is an agreed clinical need. This evaluation is intended to provide a repaid assessment of the IFR process and make recommendations as to whether the IFR should continue in its current form or if a new process should be considered.

Consultation description
In response to these concerns, DHSSPS has proposed a number of changes to the existing system. These are addressed in the 'Evaluation of the Individual Funding Request Process' report.
Responses must be received no later than 5pm on Friday 8th May 2015.
