Summary
Following the Minister’s Assembly Statement on 3rd September 2015, the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS) ran a public consultation to seek the views of stakeholders about the key issues related to the establishment of a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). The key issues were: management and funding models, medical staffing models, target patient groups, home base location, and collaboration with other services.
