The Department has published its COVID-19 Urgent & Emergency Care Action Plan – ‘No More Silos’.

Details

The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges across all areas of health and social care.  ‘No More Silos’ (NMS) has been developed by officials and clinicians from both primary and secondary care who form a regional NMS Network.  The action plan builds upon the learning from the review of urgent and emergency care and focusses on ten key actions that will be rapidly implemented in order to ensure that urgent and emergency care services across primary and secondary care can be maintained and improved in an environment that is safe for patients and staff.

A regional ‘No More Silos’ Network, co-chaired by Dr Margaret O’Brien (Head of GMS, HSCB) and Dr John Maxwell (Clinical Lead on DoH Review of Urgent & Emergency Care, ED Consultant) has been established to oversee the implementation of the Action Plan.  This group comprises officials, clinicians from primary and secondary care and service users.
