Health Estates Projects - Community Mental Health Facility: The Old See House
DoH Health Estates, on behalf of the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust, led the delivery of a new build community mental health facility on the Antrim Road in Belfast.
Project Background
The Old See House community mental health facility serves a population of 340,000 citizens living in the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust area.
The new build project, led by Health Estates, cost £4 million and provided floor space of 2,275m2.
Design Features
The aim of the project was to provide accommodation for an integrated community mental health resouce centre in north Belfast.
The new integrated services model brings together key community based services for people with severe mental illness, under one roof.
The Old See House now provides a community mental health team, day treatment services, outpatients and crisis intervention beds.
