Children and young people are major users of health services, both in primary care and in hospitals. This Strategy therefore recognises the importance of the commissioning and delivery of health services for children and young people from birth up to the age of 18 years by setting out the strategic direction for the development of these services over the next ten years.

The Strategy builds upon our existing high quality paediatric health services delivered across the North by clinicians and professional staff who are dedicated to improving the health of their patients.
